Riley Elementary

All students are expected to attend all classes each day when school is in session. Unexcused absences will result in a disciplinary consequence and will negatively affect a student’s grade. Determination of whether an absence is excused or unexcused is the responsibility of the site principal or designee. The following absences may be excused with the proper documentation:

1. Illness and/or medical care
2. Death in the family
3. Legal reasons
4. Financial conditions
5. Religious Holidays (Religious Holiday(s)/Observance(s) exemption forms shall be available), and
6. Prearranged absences for educational purposes approved by an administrator.
